The Walking Dead jumped ahead six years so we’re heading into episode 906 without knowing what to expect, but here are 5 bold predictions.

As if it wasn’t enough to say goodbye to Rick Grimes on the last episode of The Walking Dead, the show jumped six years into the future and gave us a look at Judith Grimes all grown up. As we look ahead to “Who Are You Now?” it’s clear from the previews that a lot has happened over the past six years, so now we have to get caught up.

Here are five bold predictions for what’s coming up in The Walking Dead 906:

Baby Richonne

Rick and Michonne were trying to have a baby. If she was pregnant, we’re going to see a five year old child in this week’s episode.

It’s hard thinking of Michonne going through a pregnancy without Rick, but it might have been the best way for her to cope with his loss. Being pregnant would give her something else to focus her energy on as a means to channel her grief.

Maggie and the Hilltop

We know that 905 was Lauren Cohan’s final episode for season 9, but Maggie’s story lives on. This week expect to find out more about where she went.

With Maggie gone, it will be interesting to see who steps up to run the Hilltop and how much time the story spends on the Hilltop without Maggie there. From a story standpoint narrowing down locations would help to centralize the story and keep the characters together, which is something that was missing in previous seasons. (That’s what made the bridge project so important because it brought people together)

Jesus is the likely candidate to lead the Hilltop, but he isn’t interested in leadership. My guess is that Alden is in charge.

New people might not be as welcome as before

Whereas once the mission was to go out and find people who needed help, there aren’t as many people out wandering around this far removed from the start of the apocalypse. Most people have places where they reside, and so anyone who shows up will likely be met with heightened scrutiny. Michonne might be

Then again, once newcomers are vetted, they’re likely welcomed into the community because that’s what Rick and Carl would have wanted.

Father Gabriel and Anne’s absence

Gabriel and Anne had a complex relationship. After sharing a moment together he lied for her and then ended up getting tied down with one of her creations being dangled over him. She was going to use him as her ticket on the helicopter but then ended up leaving him because it was faster that way. Good thing, too, because she found Rick and saved his life.

Gabriel knew something was going on with her, so it’s possible that he told Michonne and the others about Anne leaving. Knowing that Anne disappeared at the same time Rick did (assuming they went looking for his body) might help the group keep up hope that Rick is out there somewhere.

The bridge will be standing strong

The bridge meant a lot to Rick, and he sacrificed the bridge (and himself) to save the communities. Nothing would be more symbolic than to rebuild the bridge to keep his memory alive.

The Walking Dead “Who Are You Now?” will be the episode that sets the tone for the future of the show, but in order to be successful it will have to take time to provide details on what happened during the time jump. There’s no telling what showrunner Angela Kang has in store for fans, but if what we’ve seen so far is any indication there’s a lot to look forward to in this brave new world.
