The Walking Dead season 9 episode 6 synopsis: Who Are You Now?
The Walking Dead continues with season 9 episode 6, “Who Are You Now.” Here’s your synopsis of the all-new episode airing November 11, 2018.
We’re now living in the post-Rick Grimes era of The Walking Dead (at least on the show, since we know he’s coming back for a trilogy of movies) and things will look a lot different on the show moving forward.
With a six year time jump it’s hard to predict what to expect in this week’s episode. Based on the end of “What Comes After” we know that Judith Grimes has grown up. Little Ass Kicker is kicking butt and saving lives, just like her father and brother. We met Magna, Yumiko, Connie, Kelly and Luke briefly at the end of the episode, and now it’s time to see what happens when the new people arrive in Alexandria.
Here’s the episode description of The Walking Dead “Who Are You Now” from AMC:
“The Survivors encounter unfamiliar faces outside the safety of their community’s walls and must decide whether or not this new group can be trusted.”
After everything that has happened, the idea of trust is a big deal for the communities. Welcoming strangers isn’t something to be done lightly, and there’s no reason for the Alexandria community to trust Magna and her people right away. That said, the previews reveal that it’s Michonne who has trust issues while young Judith has no problem offering help to those in need. (Sound like anyone we know?)
Lauren Cohan is done for the rest of the season and so we won’t see Maggie moving forward. Hopefully this episode explains where she went and why she left.
The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9pm on AMC, followed by Talking Dead with Chris Hardwick. This week’s guests include Lauren Ridloff (Connie), Angel Theory (Kelly) and Drew Scott.
