There was a lot happening during season 9 episode 6 of The Walking Dead but one individual went above and beyond to be named the most valuable person.

This week’s episode of The Walking Dead was all about security, safety, vulnerability, and protection. In a zombie apocalypse, you always want to be as cautious as possible, but sometimes you have to know when to roll the dice on people.

Season 9 episode 6 brought in a new group of survivors that Michonne and some others were hesitant to trust. Add in Daryl living by himself after distancing himself from others, and other survivors attempting to reach out to more people.

However, it took a strong effort and a lot of effort for one individual to be named the MVP from the episode titled “Who Are You Now”. After much consideration, the most valuable person was named!

The MVP from TWD 906 is Carol Peletier!

Carol is known for protecting those who mean a lot to her, and that mama bird type of instinct was on full display during this episode. It all started early on when she was talking to Henry about needing to upgrade The Hilltop and a trip before going to the fair.

However, on a trip to deliver some fruits and vegetables to another community, Henry wanted to assist some strangers yelling for help. Carol warned him to take caution, but he jumped into a trap set by some former members of The Saviors.

Jed was the leader of the group, but spared Carol and Henry, but kept the food, supplies, and the ring from Ezekiel while knocking Henry to the ground. That was a mistake. Carol retreated, explaining to Henry that he will learn when to fight and when to retreat. But Carol was far from giving up.

She returned in the middle of the night while Henry was asleep to burn them all to death and retrieve their supplies and the ring. Later, when on the ride home, Henry saw the ring and figured out what happened.

Henry hasn’t had to see this side of Carol. Of course, viewers of The Walking Dead know what Carol is capable of after watching her massacre Terminus, The Wolves, and The Saviors each on different occasions…but how will Henry respond to his side of his “mom”?

Finishing things off, Carol went off the map to visit Daryl, who had set up a camp outside of all the communities with his dog by his side. It’s great of her to check in on him and show Henry that everyone you care about is important.

Still, seeing the balance of protection vs vulnerability during Carol’s talks proves just how powerful she really is. People will continue to underestimate her when she plays a look of weakness, but we all know better. EVERYONE should know better.
