The Walking Dead cast, crew celebrate Stan Lee
The world became a sadder place with the news that Marvel legend Stan Lee passed away. The Walking Dead family shared memories of how he touched their lives.
Stan Lee will live on as one of the greatest legends the comic book world will ever know. Lee’s influence can be felt in all corners of the pop culture world, including the world of The Walking Dead. Whether they were fans of the Marvel legend or they had the pleasure of working with him, several members of The Walking Dead cast and crew paid tribute to Stan Lee.
As the storied founder of Marvel Comics, Lee is known for the pantheon of amazing characters he created or helped to create, including Spider-Man, Fantastic Four and Captain America, and so many more. If it’s a character in the Marvel Universe, Lee had his hand in their creation.
Like readers of The Walking Dead comics, Marvel comic fans have always loved the books and were thrilled when the stories were adapted to film and television shows. 2018 marks the ten year anniversary of Marvel Studios, and these days it’s hard to find actors who haven’t appeared in a Marvel movie. Ross Marquand talked about how much Stan Lee inspired him to learn to draw while helping him to envision a better future. The Walking Dead official Twitter account recognized how Lee changed the way we see comics.
Several members of The Walking Dead family have appeared in Marvel Studios films and met him on set while other members of the cast got to know Lee during convention appearances around the world. In fact, many of the tributes they posted include pictures taken at various conventions over the years:
