Did anyone die in The Walking Dead ‘Stradivarius’?
By Sonya Iryna
The Whisperers are closing in on The Walking Dead but have they claimed any victims yet? One survivor got away but the other is still in danger.
The Walking Dead is edging closer to the midseason finale and the stakes are getting higher now that The Whisperers are here. Rosita was found alone, badly injured, by Aaron and Jesus and she said that she had to leave Eugene in a barn but she was too injured to say much more than that. Jesus and Aaron opted to hope that Eugene will be safe where he is and get Rosita back to The Hilltop to get medical attention from Enid.
But will Eugene be ok? (Comic readers – you already know what’s going on and what could possibly have happened to Eugene but I’m going to keep this vague so as to not spoil it for people who don’t read the comics.)
Rosita was bleeding from a head wound and looked pretty roughed up. And Eugene was injured before they started running from the herd so he’s in serious danger. Rosita managed to get him to a barn so it’s possible that he could hole up in there and stay safe. But the walkers that they were running from weren’t normal walkers. They were talking and making actual words and sentences. They also seemed to be moving more deliberately than walkers usually do. Are the walkers developing more advanced brain function?
Hopefully Dr. Smarty Pants will be able to find a way to hide himself from this new threat and stay safe until the others can find him or until he can find a safe way to one of the communities. Eugene has survived some tough situations before and he seems to have gotten a lot tougher over the last six years so let’s hope that Dr. Smarty Pants can manage to save himself from this unusual herd.
Magna And Bernie
The only real casualty tonight was a member of the new group, Bernie, who died and turned when the group was originally running from a herd and found Judith. But tonight they found walker Bernie in his bright paisley shirt that he wore just to irritate Magna. And while the entire new group was affected Magna was reduced to tears. It was a reminder that everyone has lost people, and that no group goes unscathed.
Magna’s grief also touched Michonne and made her a little more sympathetic to the newcomers. She still doesn’t trust them fully but she’s getting there. Obviously whatever happened at Alexandria left Michonne spooked and not willing to risk the safety of Judith, RJ, or anyone in Alexandria by openly embracing newcomers the way they did in the past.
So take a few deep breaths TWD Family and get read for what is sure to be an adrenaline – filled midseason finale of The Walking Dead next week.
