The Walking Dead, Who Are You Now?: Things To Note
By Liam O'Leary
1) At the top of the episode, we see Michonne describing to Rick (In spirit, at least) how things have been since his (apparent) demise. During this, we see Daryl in a trashed tent. Is this where Daryl lives now? How long has this been going on?
2) Following the title sequence, we see Aaron, Rosita, Eugene, and Laura looking for Judith in the woods. This is clearly taking place directly after the end of the previous episode, “What Happens After”.
3) Upon being introduced to the group, Luke calls the dead “sickos”. This is the first new name for walkers this season and, approximately, the…21(?) unique name for them overall in The Walking Dead.
4) Henry clearly being upset about Ezekiel having already, apparently, decided to refuse to let Henry learn how to use the boiler is obviously intended to parallel Carl’s annoyance at Rick for dragging his feet about letting Carl learn how to be a blacksmith in the comics.
5) Upon entering Alexandria, Magna’s group remarks how the community couldn’t be worse than Jones Springs, which they said (At the time) couldn’t have been worse than Coalport. What happened at those communities? Were they’s Magna’s group’s equivalent to Woodbury? …Terminus?
6) As Siddiq walks to get a glimpse of Magna’s group, D.J. is with him. How many other ex-Saviors (Outside of Laura) did the other communities adopt?
7) While sending Henry and Carol off to Hilltop, Ezekiel talks about “If the communities could become full partners again”. Did something happen to the communities’ relationship after Rick’s presumed death?
