Black Friday shopping list, inspired by Fear the Walking Dead

Black Friday shopping can feel like a survival mission inspired by The Walking Dead. But if you had one minute to grab supplies, what would you choose?

The holiday rush officially begins the day after Thanksgiving as millions of shoppers descend upon malls and stores to find Black Friday deals, and being out in the thick of the action can feel like a scene from The Walking Dead or Fear the Walking Dead. In honor of the busiest shopping day of the year, several members of the Undead Walking team imagined what they would grab in an apocalyptic shopping trip.

Fans of Fear the Walking Dead were introduced to Polar Bear’s incredibly well-stocked mini-mart in season 4. Morgan happened upon the truck stop in Mississippi and was told to rest and take what he needed, and he did. Morgan enjoyed some coffee and hot food and even a nice trip to the market’s well-apportioned restroom while he was there.

Later, the entire group ended up at Polar Bear’s market but Filthy Woman decided to get her revenge by poisoning the water supply, which was definitely not part of Polar Bear’s hospitality.

With Black Friday and a busy shopping weekend in full swing, we asked this question: If you had one minute to run into Polar Bear’s market (pre-Filthy Woman) before a herd of walkers descends upon the store, what 10 items would you grab?

Coffee and coffee filters and don’t think I won’t chew those grounds if necessary to get that caffeine.

As many pine tree air fresheners as I can grab because I’m sure the apocalypse world smells unbelievably bad all of the time.
Peanut butter protein bars to trade with Morgan

Batteries
Gallons of hand sanitizer
Toothpaste
Baby wipes

Jeffrey Kopp:
A reusable water bottle, preferably one with a filter
A flashlight
Tylenol or any other painkiller
A toothbrush
Toothpaste
Fresh socks
A tarp

Candy, any kind of candy
A case of Jimbo’s Beerbos, because why not?
