The latest episode of The Walking Dead gave fans a deeper look at what’s happened during the time jump and a look at the terrifying new threat quickly approaching.

While some felt that The Walking Dead “Stradivarius” was just a filler episode it actually revealed a lot of important information, showed the deep and enduring connection between some characters, and showed more of the rift between others.

When Michonne and Siddiq took Magna and her group to The Hilltop, Michonne found out that Maggie isn’t at The Hilltop any longer. But before she knew that Michonne was reluctant to even go to gates of Hilltop which is very unusual and is further evidence of some kind of massive break between Michonne and Maggie and between Alexandria and The Hilltop. The Kingdom seems to be on good terms with both communities.

Carol and Henry stopped by Daryl’s camp for the night because Carol wanted to ask Daryl to go to Hilltop with Henry and keep an eye on him. Carol knows that the only other OG Atlanta survivor is the only one she can really trust to protect her child. And because of their close bond, Daryl agreed to go.

But when they got there Jesus and Aaron were getting ready to go out looking for Eugene, who had gotten separated from a seriously injured Rosita and was still out in the wilderness somewhere. Daryl agreed to go with Jesus and Aaron to track Eugene and try to get to him before the walkers, who are really a new threat called The Whisperers. It looks like there’s actually a lot for our panel to talk about in this “filler” episode:
