The Atlanta Two

Daryl and Carol are now the last originals left – do you think this gives them a closer bond?

Sonya says:

"Absolutely. It was such an incredible journey from Atlanta to Alexandria and there were so many people who they loved and lost along the way. That journey will forever bond Carol and Daryl in a way that isn’t possible with anyone else. And now Daryl is the only one living (that they know of because they don’t know Rick is alive) who knew Sophia which is also going to be a bond between them."

Sara says:

"It definitely does. They have known each other longer than anyone else at this point. They definitely want to keep that bond close because they both trust each other a lot. I really enjoyed getting to see them bond in this episode. It was so needed for the both of them."

Jeffrey says:

"I do think Daryl and Carol have one of the closet bonds on the show. They have been through literally everything together and have experienced every single death. They’ve always been close, and the loss of several originals such as Glenn, Rick, and Carl surely brought them closer together."

Sarabeth says:

"I think they have always been close. They’re always glad to see each other and they would lay down their lives to help one another. But now that Carol has Henry, I think Daryl sees the parallels with Sophia and when Carol asks for his help he can’t say no to her. (And I think she knew that he wouldn’t be able to deny her.)"
