Back in the field, Daryl and Dog are ahead of Jesus and Aaron, who walk behind him. Jesus says Daryl used to check in with Hilltop for supplies but his visits became less frequent over time. Jesus thinks he prefers it out in the open, and Aaron notes that it’s like they are. They used to be explorers, Jesus points out. Aaron reflects on going out and finding new people to help and he thinks Jesus is the one who brought everyone together and should focus on being the amazing leader that he should be.

Daryl says the wind is carrying the sound of the herd as it follows them. He throws a timer into the field and suggests that they put some distance between them before the herd arrives.

Diane asks Carol for a ride back to Kingdom. She talked to Tara and she’s ready to go home to Kingdom. Carol is happy for the company. Alden and Henry load up the wagon with supplies. Henry took an advance on his pay to send some nails and supplies back to Kingdom. Carol’s voice wavers as she says he didn’t have to do that. She hugs him, and Alden promises to keep an eye on him. Carol tells him to stay out of trouble, and he promises to be home before the fair. She tells him he has already made her proud. Carol gets into the wagon with Diane and they ride off. The Hilltop is Henry’s new home.

The herd keeps moving toward them. Jesus notes that the herd has more than doubled. The alarm clock Daryl tossed goes off and Jesus watches as they move toward it. They start moving.

Enid comes to check on Henry on his first day back. Alden gives her a report and she asks to speak to him. Earl asks Henry to come to dinner with Tammy that night and Henry is about to say he wanted to spend time with Enid when he sees her kissing Alden. He reluctantly agrees to dinner with Tammy and Earl.
