The Walking Dead wraps up the first half of season 9 with episode 8, “Evolution.” Here’s your synopsis of the all-new episode airing November 25, 2018.

The mid-season finale of The Walking Dead is an hour of television packed with just about everything you can imagine. Eugene is missing, there’s tension between Alexandria and the Hilltop and the Walkers are behaving erratically. Have they evolved, or is something else happening?

Horror has returned to The Walking Dead in the mid-season finale, “Evolution.” And after this week’s episode, things will never be the same again.

Here’s the episode description of The Walking Dead “Evolution” from AMC:

“A small rescue mission braves a dangerous herd in their hunt for a missing comrade, only to discover a surprising threat that could doom them all.”

The Whisperers have been teased all season, and while the comic book fans know exactly what kind of mess is coming our way, those of us who only watch the show don’t quite know the level of horror that is coming. This week we’ll all meet the biggest and most dangerous threat the show has ever seen.

The preview for this week’s episode reveals that Michonne isn’t exactly welcomed into the Hilltop with open arms. She has to relinquish her weapons before entering, a sign that something must have happened to cause this much apprehension. It’s just one of the many mysterious lingering after the time jump that we’re hoping to learn more about as the season progresses.

Author’s note: If you want to watch “Evolution” unspoiled, stay away from social media and message boards because some people enjoy ruining surprises for others by posting leaked information that isn’t always accurate but can spoil elements for viewers.
