The Walking Dead, Stradivarius: Things To Note
By Liam O'Leary
1) The episode begins with Rosita in the woods attempting to flee The Whisperers, whom she can apparently hear. Is Rosita actually hearing them, imagining she’s hearing them (Similar to Nick hallucinating that Gloria’s walker was talking to him in Season Two of Fear The Walking Dead), or, are we hearing The Whisperers as they pursue Rosita (Where she might not be hearing them)?
2) We’re also taken to Hilltop, where we find Tara serving as an advisor to Jesus. When did Tara move to Hilltop? Was it before Maggie left?
3) Speaking of Maggie, this episode also reveals that she has moved to wherever Georgie’s group is (Presumably Toledo, if the signs at the construction site were anything to go on). When did this happen? And more importantly, why? Did she leave because she felt responsible for Rick’s “death”?
4) Upon finding Daryl’s camp in the woods, Carol asks Daryl if he’d be willing to watch over Henry at Hilltop, to which Daryl replies that Henry will have to learn (Presumably not to be an idealist) just as he and Carol did. Does he mean just in general, or is there a specific incident he’s making reference to?
5) After their sparring session, Jesus says to Aaron that the communities “have to come back together”. This is the second time someone’s said this in as many episodes. When did this dissolution happen and what, exactly, caused it? Was it because Rick wasn’t there to try to maintain it or did the breakdown occur long after his disappearance?
6) During that same discussion, Aaron mentions that Michonne didn’t even know that Maggie was gone yet. This suggests that Maggie’s departure was relatively recent, though, exactly how recent, no one says.
