The good stuff from TWD 908

  1. Freaking out. Rosita waking up in a bed and realizing Eugene is still out there was a big moment where the threat of what is out there which is unknown to others becomes a reality. It’s always fun when the view knows something big the characters don’t.
  2. Foggy nights. The atmosphere was set well for the tense scenes out in the wilderness. As if the darkness wasn’t enough, the heavy layers of fog with lush colors of the trees and leaves made everything feel even more intense.
  3. A quick exit. Not only does The Hilltop have some great guards on duty to warn people when there are people nearby, but they have a plan for getting everyone indoors quickly and prepared in case the individuals approaching aren’t friendly.
  4. Pushing for the fair. Much like the story of music and art from the previous episode, doing things like a fair for the survivors to bring everyone together when it sounds like the communities are splintered would be huge. The only question is why everyone is so hesitant to make it happen…
  5. Pushing for a place. The theme of this episode was finding somewhere to belong. Whether it was Henry giving in to peer pressure, Magna’s group trying to earn their keep, or Rosita and Eugene going where they shouldn’t have been. We all need to belong…but not risking your life to do so is what is key.
