The interesting stuff from TWD 908

  1. Who needs Maury when you’ve got Earl? Earl didn’t need a fancy polygraph test or results in an envelope to let Henry know that he was caught in a lie. The smell of moonshine is enough to set him off in the first place, but having Henry lie to him about what was going on is even worse.
  2. Get Out? No. Stay in!  Watching Father Gabriel use the sounding bowl when watching after Negan was quite interesting. However, it was reminiscent of a scene from a popular movie that used a similar premise to hypnotize people into doing things against their will.
  3. Booze in TWD’s universe. The role of alcohol has gone back and forth so many times on these zombie shows. Whether it’s for celebrating, forgetting worries, or to actually save lives, beer and booze have been present. It’s kind of funny how the real-life struggles with the substance have made their way into the zombie apocalypse.
  4. Wanting to make people change. Father Gabriel always wants to see the best in people, but getting through to people doesn’t work if they don’t want to be reached. We see this all the time in relationships in everyday life. You can’t get frustrated when a leopard doesn’t change its spots.
  5. TWD Rewards. This week, fans can get 300 points for entering the code “WHISPERERS” from The Walking Dead and 300 more from using the code “JESUS” from Talking Dead. Those points can be redeemed for great merchandise, digital rewards, or experiences. If you’re not signed up, DO SO HERE!
