Tara Chambler

As someone who is no stranger to dealing with villains, it might make sense that Tara’s time in the apocalypse is nearing the end. Tara has survived far longer than many predicted and has really proven herself to be an incredibly hardened survivor and also a leader. With Jesus now gone, and the Hilltop without an official leader, it might be time for Tara to really put everything she has learned to use and lead the community into the future. However, this being The Walking Dead should be warning enough to us that good things don’t last for long, and the fact that the Hilltop is currently flourishing could possibly be a sign that everything is about to fall apart.

Eugene Porter

Eugene is also a character who has been on the opposing side of our core group of survivors. Thankfully, he found his way back to where he belongs, but just like Tara, it would be a sad bit of irony to see him taken down after completing a redemption arc. Eugene is undoubtedly the smartest character on the show and his intellect is one of the most valuable resources for the future of civilization. What if that resource is ripped away and our favorite scientist falls victim to The Whisperers? It would certainly leave the communities in the dark a bit, but it has been shown that Eugene has taught many of the characters some of his skills, which would allow them to carry on. Still, the loss of this brainiac would be massive and would certainly hinder the progress made toward the future.
