The Whisperers present a serious threat to all of the communities in The Walking Dead, it is time that the groups put their issues aside to come together again to prepare for the worst.

During the season 9 midseason finale of The Walking Dead titled ‘Evolution’, we were introduced to a new mysterious group of people called The Whisperers. This strange group of people travels alongside walkers while wearing walker-skin masks upon their faces. In the episode, the Whisperers tragically killed Jesus who sacrificed himself to save the rest of the group all on his own.

So what exactly does the new threat of the Whisperers mean for all of the communities going forward? We know that clearly, something big and bad happened during the six-year time jump that caused Alexandria to cut itself off from the rest of the communities. While we don’t know exactly what happened yet, one thing is clear, it is time for the communities to come back together again.

The eerie new group presents a large threat to all of the communities now. The Whisperers know exactly who some of the survivors are, and will most likely be following them around to where they live. While the Whisperers motives for doing what they do is unclear as of now, the communities have no time to waste in deciding how exactly they are going to protect themselves.

Rick Grimes told his people earlier this season that they were stronger by coming together and not by pulling apart. This is exactly what needs to happen now if the group wants to protect themselves from this new threat.  It is definitely time for all of the communities to leave the past in the past and prepare themselves for the new threat that they must defeat.
