The Walking Dead alum cast in comedy/drama film The Outside Story

Sonequa Martin-Green was a regular on The Walking Dead and stars in Star Trek Discovery but her next move is the upcoming indie film The Outside Story.

The story of Sasha Williams on The Walking Dead was both heartbreaking and thrilling. Watching her lose those she loved and fight for those she cared for helped make her a familiar face to fans of the AMC zombie drama series.

The actress who played Sasha, Sonequa Martin-Green, took that momentum to earn the lead role on the CBS All-Access science fiction show Star Trek: Discovery, where she and the program have earned high praise.

But Martin-Green is keeping very busy lately. Deadline has announced that the actress will join the ensemble cast of the upcoming comedy/drama film The Outside Story.

She joins a talented group of actors including Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta, This is Us), Asia Kate Dillon (Billions), Sunita Mani (GLOW), Olivia Edward (Better Things), and Michael Cyril Creighton (Spotlight) in the film directed by Casimir Nozkowski.

The concept of the film is an interesting one. A simple accident leading to someone confronting some of their fears and make them step outside their comfort zone should make for an entertaining and intriguing story.
