16. Jared (The Saviors)

Introduction: Jared was part of the Savior group led by Gavin in charge of taking supplies from the Kingdom. He constantly tries to get in the face of others and instigate, knowing he has the leverage and they can’t do anything back. When the tables are turned, he in fact cowers and begs for mercy from Morgan. He is one of the dissenters against Rick’s vision of a better future for everyone with unity.

Biggest moment of Villainy: Without a doubt, it’s Jared shooting Benjamin in the thigh, causing him to bleed out and eventually die in agony. Morgan never gets over what happened to Benjamin, who he’d taken up almost like an adopted son, and seeks revenge exclusively over what had happened.

Everybody Hurts Sometimes: Jared cries out when he’s devoured by walkers after Morgan kicks him and closes the gate leading walkers to have free reign.

The Good Side: None really, Jared takes pride in bullying others and lacks any empathy throughout The Walking Dead.

First Appearance: “The Well” (season 7, episode 2)

Last Appearance: “Still Gotta Mean Something” (season 8, episode 14)

Cause of Death: Death by Walkers via Morgan kick into a trap.

Memorable Quote: “I don’t know what the hell you’re talking about kid.” (when asked by Henry if he’s the Savior who killed his brother Benjamin)
