7. Gareth, Leader of Terminus
Introduction: Gareth was the leader of Terminus and its followers, a cannibalistic group that enticed those on the road the prospect of safe haven, only to betray them when they arrived. Rick’s group was one of many so lured, but Rick noticed that something was off. They’re captured anyway, and it’s only thanks to Carol, who had not traveled with the group, that they are saved from being killed and eaten.
Biggest moment of Villainy: Gareth and the rest of Terminus’ members literally dine on Bob Stookey’s foot in front of him, telling him how he tasted.
Everybody Hurts Sometimes: Gareth pleads with Rick to spare them after being outnumbered in the church in a failed ambush attempt. Rick responds, “You’d just do it to someone else,” before brutally killing him with a machete.
The Good Side: Gareth, much like the rest of Terminus, once had good intentions until a violent gang overtook the settlement, forever scarring them all. He once tells Rick, “We used to help people! We saved people! Things changed. You don’t know what it is to be hungry!”

Cause of Death: Slashed/hacked to death by Rick Grimes in a church.
