20. Jed (The Saviors)

Introduction: Jed was a former Savior who saw the proposed unity between the groups post-Negan war as a charade. After it became clear someone in the camp was taking out the remaining Saviors, it bolstered his point. He would become one of the individuals who brought down Rick’s dream of achieving Carl’s vision for a better world.

Biggest moment of Villainy: Years after Rick Grimes’ disappearance, after being spared by Carol and Rick, he would trick Henry into an ambush. Though he was not looking to hurt Carol or Henry, Jed did want her wedding ring to hurt her pride and Henry’s.

Everybody Hurts Sometimes: Jed would plead for his life before being set on fire along with the rest of the ex-Savior remnant group by Carol. Coincidentally, Carol did not ask for her ring back prior to doing so.

The Good Side: Jed eventually discovers that it was indeed Oceanside taking revenge on their members. He was not wrong in his way of thinking that unity would not be achieved, and the Saviors required protection one way or another.

First Appearance: “The Bridge” (season 9, episode 2)

Last Appearance: “Who Are You Now?” (season 9, episode 6)

Cause of Death: Set ablaze by Carol in revenge for humiliating her in front of adopted son Henry.

Memorable Quote: “You know, over and over I heard you yapping about how every life counts.” (To Rick)
