Bit of Both Negan

I like the odds for the “Bit of Both” Negan. Negan will always have Negan’s interests in mind first and foremost, but he’s also savvy enough to know when he should join forces instead of trying to strike out on his own.

With the arrival of the Whisperers Negan would be better served helping in the fight to stop them. Bad things are coming for the communities, and with the Sanctuary in ruins Negan would do well to try to redeem himself and help in the fight to protect Alexandria’s way of life. It’s just good business. We also know he respects Judith and should she be in danger I’d like to think Negan would step in to save her because at his core he’s that kind of person.

However, like any great villain, Negan will likely have a few side deals going. He’s going to have contingency plans to get out of town should things go sour. He’ll find people who might be loyal to him or willing to strike out with him because they don’t agree with the way things are going under current leadership. And no matter what he’ll have a way out should he need one.

At the end of the mid-season finale Negan is left with a choice. His next moves determine how he spends the next part of his life, and now that he’s out of the jail cell he’s certainly not going to go back if he can help it.

Next. Why a Negan and Judith friendship works. dark

What do you think Negan will do next? Will he try to find some kind of redemption, or will he go back to being the same Negan we knew before? Let us know in the comments!
