2. Atlanta Movie Tours Big Zombie Tours
Atlanta Movie Tours offers three separate tours based on The Walking Dead so that you can see many of the locations that the show was filmed at that cover the entire series so far. If you haven’t been on an Atlanta Movie Tour yet start with the first Big Zombie Tour that will show you the hospital where Rick wakes up and where the story begins as well as where Glenn and Rick met for the first time and other important locations in season 1. You will also be able to stop and get your own photo from the iconic Jackson St. Bridge which is where the shot of Rick riding a horse into Atlanta was taken.
After you’ve experienced the first Big Zombie tour there are others that will take you to filming locations like Alexandria, Woodbury, and Morgan’s apartment from season 3’s “Clear” episode which has been left just the way it was during filming. Other locations included on the other Big Zombie tours that fans will enjoy seeing include Terminus, Carol’s Cottage outside of The Kingdom, and the infamous alley and dumpster where Glenn was able to hide and save himself after Nicholas committed suicide and almost took Glenn with him.
Atlanta Movie Tours are $69 per person per tour and the tours always feature a tour guide that is a Walking Dead insider and will share fun facts and information about filming and about the show. Some tours feature celebrity guests who have appeared on the show, so look for those tours when you are booking if you want to get the chance to meet one of actors that has appeared on The Walking Dead.
