5) Luring you into a trap.

In the zombie apocalypse, things we sort of take for granted — Food, water, medicine, a safe place to rest — will not be assured; You may have to scrounge for or hunt your own food, you may have to search miles for clean water, and one stray sound can cause your safe place to be overrun with zombies.

Because of that, someone offering these things (Though, those aren’t the limit to what the lure might be) could be seen as a godsend to weary survivors just trying to get out from the unforgiving outside world.

Well, if you find a group or a person willingly offering these things to just anyone who comes by, doesn’t that sound…a little too good to be true? And, you know what they say about things that are too good to be true, right?

Be extremely cautious when approaching such people, because there’s a pretty good chance they’re trying to lure you into a trap. What might the intent of the trap be? The sky’s the limit, but, The Walking Dead showed us the worst-case scenario: Cannibals. Yeah, it’s just a TV show, but…what, are cannibals impossible? Sadly, no.

Watch whoever is offering this succor carefully and from a distance, if possible. If you so much as think it’s a trap, walk away. Better to keep searching than to walk into a viper’s nest.
