4. Carol To The Rescue, Again

Season 5, “No Sanctuary”

As if saving Judith wasn’t enough, Carol obliterated Terminus and fought through walkers and cannibals to find and free her friends. And frankly Rick didn’t deserve her help on this one. Previous to the attack on the prison, he kicked Carol out of the group for killing Karen and David. But even though he had kicked her out when she saw the smoke coming from the prison she went back to try to help. That’s when she found Tyreese with Judith, Lizzie, and Mika. She saved Judith and then saved everyone else because she is smart and fearless.

She knew enough to circle around and look at the situation before walking through the front gates of Terminus. And because of that she able to see that Rick and the others were in trouble. With a well-timed explosion and a cape covered in walker guts she walked right into Terminus after blowing an entrance through the back. She killed Mary and helped everyone get out of Terminus safely. And once she was reunited with the group she reunited Rick and Carl with Judith an a truly emotional scene.

It’s sometimes hard to look back at season 1 Carol and believe that the timid mouse who did Ed’s bidding is the same warrior who took down Terminus by herself, killed Wolves and Saviors, and is one of the best and most efficient fighters in any of the communities. But Carol will do anything to protect the people that she loves and she’s proven that many times over.
