AMC’s The Walking Dead has been nominated for a Screen Actors Guild award in the category of Stunt Ensemble in a Comedy or Drama Series.

While The Walking Dead is one of the most watched shows on television with a massive following, it never seems to get as much love as it should from the critics and award programs when deciding which programs are the best.

Season 9 of the zombie survival drama has brought a lot of new developments to the undead apocalypse but also given fans some of the most intense and emotional episodes of the series in the first eight episodes.

Thankfully, the Screen Actors Guild isn’t one of the organizations who look down on The Walking Dead and usually have the show get at least one nomination at their annual award show. And this year’s nod came in the category of stunt ensemble as shared on Twitter by the official SAG Awards Twitter account:

As you can see, AMC’s popular undead drama has a lot of great competition in their category. The fictional wrestling program GLOW has some impressive work in and out of the ring while dramas like Daredevil, Jack Ryan, and Westworld are all exceptionally well done in their own right, making this one of the most competitive categories for the show.

The 25th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be hosted by Megan Mullally, known for her roles in Will & Grace, Parks & Recreation, Bob’s Burgers, and much more and will occur on Jan. 27, 2019, 7:00 PM CST,

Congratulations to AMC’s The Walking Dead on receiving a nomination at the Screen Actors Guild Awards and best of luck to them on getting a win against the tough competition included within the category of Stunt Ensemble in a Comedy or Drama Series.
