Gender of Norman Reedus’ baby officially confirmed
Though the baby made a debut in early November, Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus have remained tight-lipped about the gender…until now.
It’s official: A baby girl for Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus. Though she was born in early November, much to the delight of baby-watching Reedus fans, there hasn’t been any official word about the gender. During an appearance on Extra, Mama Kruger let the secret slip.
“She’s very little, but I’m tired. I feel like a superhero right now,” Kruger noted, adding that motherhood has been “a very rewarding experience.” The timing of Baby Reedus was perfect, as Reedus was enjoying a break from filming The Walking Dead, allowing both parents to bond with their tiny new addition.
Kruger was on Extra promoting her new film Welcome to Marwen, starring Steve Carell. The movie follows a man who creates a fictional world as a coping mechanism following an accident. She talked about whether or not she would allow her daughter to dye her hair like Kruger’s character in the movie, to which Kruger replied that colorful hair isn’t even a hard decision: “Easy yes! Go for it — I wish my mom would have allowed me to do that.”
Reedus and Kruger are keeping their baby girl’s name a secret for now, which is a great idea as they bond with her and keep her from the prying eyes of the media. This is the first child for Kruger and the second for Reedus, who shares son Mingus with model Helena Christensen.
Baby Reedus follows the birth of Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s daughter George earlier this year, and just this week Steven Yeun announced that he and wife Joana Pak are expecting baby number two.
Welcome to Marwen arrives in theaters on December 21, and The Walking Dead returns on February 10 on AMC.
