Garret Dillahunt, the man who brings the lovable John Dorie to life on Fear the Walking Dead, shares a very merry message to his fans for Christmas.

Fear the Walking Dead went through a lot of change in 2018, but despite some major ups and downs one of the biggest bright spots of season 4 was the addition of Garret Dillahunt as John Dorie. Now Dillahunt shares a merry message to his fans for Christmas as he signs off until 2019.

John Dorie, the soft spoken cowboy who befriends a wayward Morgan while searching for his true love June (aka Naomi), was an instant fan favorite when he first appeared in season 4. The former policeman is now a gentle gunslinger. He’d rather not hurt anyone, but he has mad gun skills and he’s not willing to lose his friends when push comes to shove.

Fans of the actor who brings John Dorie to life know that Garret Dillahunt is a funny guy, so it’s entirely appropriate that he shares a very fun holiday message to his fans. Dillahunt appears dressed as Santa with a little dog, also dressed as Santa. Dillahunt isn’t smiling for the camera, but his mirth is evident in his eyes and the image fits perfectly with his message to fans: “Happy holidays, freaks! I’m outta here. See you in 2019.”

Dillahunt, along with the rest of the Fear the Walking Dead cast, have returned to Texas in December to start work on season 5. After the time-bending and often tumultuous season 4, it’s anyone’s guess what will happen in season 5 now that the group has committed to helping find survivors as they may or may not continue their journey to Alexandria.

Now that The Walking Dead has jumped ahead almost 8 years from where Fear the Walking Dead left off in season 4, the show could remain in the past or jump ahead again to catch up. Remaining in the past offers a lot of possibilities, though, especially for new crossovers.

The Walking Dead past might lie with the Fear the Walking Dead present. dark. Next

We can’t wait to see everything that Garret Dillahunt (and John Dorie) have in store for 2019!
