The Walking Dead 2019: 3 New Year resolutions for Enid
Enid has become a valued member of the Hilltop, and these New Year resolutions will help her prepare for what lies ahead in The Walking Dead 9B.
During the first few episodes of The Walking Dead season 9, Enid was training to be a doctor under Siddiq’s watchful eye. After the time jump she is not only a doctor, but she’s the doctor at Hilltop. She also has a steady boyfriend. Here are the three things that should be on Enid’s list of New Year resolutions as the threat of the Whisperers looms in 9B.
Don’t Get Attached
Enid’s relationship with Alden is nice to see. She lost Carl, and so seeing her happy is a good thing. The problem with relationships, though, is that it’s hard to lose people you care about, and Alden could have a target on his back.
Not only is he expendable (think Red Shirt on Star Trek) as a member of the Hilltop, but now that Negan is free he might come after the Savior turncoats. Enid is doing so well that losing her boyfriend could upset the apple cart.
Keeping Status Quo
Losing Jesus will be a big blow for the Hilltop, and Tara will have a lot to deal with as a result. Enid can help Tara and help the residents of the community by being a stable presence for them. As the community’s doctor, Enid is respected and her voice carries a lot of weight. If people need reassurance they should be able to find it with her.
Be Ready For Bloodshed
Enid is the Hilltop’s doctor, trained under Siddiq. She saw a great deal as an apprentice, but she didn’t have to deal with the immediate aftermath of All Out War. The Whisperers will wreak havoc on the communities, and that means more wounded than Enid has ever seen at one time. (As far as we know) She must be ready to receive lots of injured people, and with limited resources Enid will be pushed to the brink.
The Walking Dead returns on February 10, 2019.
