Aaron has suffered greatly, but the second half of The Walking Dead season 9 presents more danger. Here are 3 New Year’s resolutions to help him along the way.

Aaron lost an arm in the beginning of The Walking Dead season 9, and he lost his best friend in the mid-season finale. He lost Eric during All Out War. But he also gained a beautiful daughter in Gracie. With the threat of the Whisperers still looming, Aaron doesn’t have time to mourn Jesus but he can makes plans to avenge his death and these 3 New Year’s resolutions will help him on his way.

Honor Jesus

Losing Jesus was a major blow for Aaron. The duo had been sneaking away from their communities to spend time together over the past six years of the time jump. Jesus helped Aaron with his fighting skills while Aaron counseled Jesus on being a leader after Maggie’s departure.

With Jesus gone, there will be lots of anger and sadness, to be sure, but Aaron needs to focus everything he has on stopping the Whisperers. He saw them in action and Aaron knows they haven’t faced a threat like this before. Killing them will be the best way to honor his fallen friend.

Rise To The Occasion

Aaron is already an esteemed member of the Alexandria community. Now is not the time to fall apart after losing Jesus, rather now is the time to rise up and show everyone how to keep going in the face of great adversity.

Michonne has been kept in the dark on a number of things, for her own protection, and Aaron can help her to catch up because Alexandria will need to support the Hilltop amid the loss of their leader and Michonne has no idea what has been happening there. Aaron does, and he would be the perfect person to continue as the liaison between the two communities.

Always Remember Gracie

It’s easy to fall apart after losing someone you’re close to, but Aaron has Gracie to think of and he needs to be strong for her. He also needs to work to stop the Whisperers because they are a big threat to Alexandria, which means they are a direct threat to Gracie.

Now that Aaron is a parent, he can’t go off to battle without thinking about Gracie’s welfare, but he also needs Gracie’s welfare to be the guiding light behind his actions so that he can protect her.
