8) Hostiles

I told you I’d get to this!

If we’re being honest with ourselves, hostiles are a threat to us right now, and, after the zombie apocalypse begins, they become even bigger threats, as now they could be out to steal some of those things I discussed earlier which are so vital to our survival, like food, water, medicine, even our homes.

Sadly, there are other reasons we may find ourselves confronted by hostiles, including, but not limited to: Megalomania, hatred (Whether warranted or unwarranted), lust, hunger (I.e. They see people as food), or…no reason at all, and they want to attack you just because they can!

The point is: It may not be worth your time to worry about why hostiles are attacking, because, if they are attacking, you’ve got more important things to worry about, like stopping them.

And, don’t think I forgot that hostiles have no obligation to be outsiders to your group, either: It’s just as possible that the hostiles you meet aren’t strangers, but, people you know, maybe even people you care about! You’re not the only person who can be driven to the end of your rope by the apocalypse, and it’s quite possible that friends or loved ones could snap and attack you, depending on the circumstances.

People have always been each other’s biggest problems, when half of them are dead, that just means the other half will become bigger problems for whoever’s left.
