New trailer for Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final Season ‘Broken Toys’
The latest trailer for the penultimate chapter of Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final Season features young Clem and AJ and some very hard truths.
There’s a new trailer for Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final Season and in this preview of Episode 3, titled “Broken Toys,” fans will see Clem and AJ and a friend from Season One making a return. The game releases on January 15, 2019, on all major platforms.
In the trailer, Clem and AJ are about to interrogate a raider to find out where her people are. She isn’t getting the information she wants and needs, so she resorts to burning him with a cigar until he talks.
Getting her people back won’t be easy, and Clem must walk with the dead to infiltrate the camp and get her people back from Lily. There’s a surprise appearance at the end of the trailer, and while we don’t actually see him it’s easy to recognize a familiar voice from season 1.
In a haunting moment, AJ tells Clem that there are three kinds of eyes: “There are alive people eyes, and there’s monster’s eyes. And then there are alive people’s eyes right as you kill ‘em, like you blew a candle out.”
The arrival of a new trailer for Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final Season is bittersweet. While it’s exciting to think of the game’s new life in the capable hands of Skybound, which was established by The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, it’s also sad to think that we’re nearing the end of the story and that the hardworking folks who lost their jobs when Telltale Games folded will be done with this chapter of their lives.
With The Walking Dead expanded universe on the horizon, let’s hope that Skybound Entertainment will continue to develop stories set in this universe. Losing it forever would be very sad indeed, and so we’ll celebrate every episode we get until the end.
