The Walking Dead fans – here’s your chance to ask a real sword expert about killing walkers and Whisperers with swords.

There were a lot of changes in the first half of The Walking Dead season 9. Even though some of those changes weren’t as big as Andrew Lincoln leaving the show to star in a series of The Walking Dead films, one of the important changes was that the survivors are now relying on swords and bladed weapons to kill walkers and other threats like the Whisperers.

Now that they’re ten years into the apocalypse bullets are pretty scarce and it looks like they’re using them sparingly. But how effective are swords and bladed weapons when you’re face to face with a horde of walkers? How much training do you need to be able to be able to kill with a sword? And how are they making these weapons?

I’m just as obsessed with those small details as some of my hard-core TWD family members are so I reached out to a sword fighting specialist and all around bladed weapons guru who also happens to have years of experience creating props and effects for films. Now you’re going to get the chance to ask him all of the Walking Dead-related weaponry and fighting strategy questions that I know you’ve been thinking about.

We are going to be collecting your questions on Facebook and Twitter for the next week, and then Sam Swords is going to answer your questions in a video on his YouTube channel. So if you have ever wondered how exactly you’d kill walkers, or Whisperers, with a blade now is your chance to ask your TWD weapons-related questions and find out!
