The Walking Dead gives a behind the scenes look at The Whisperers

What should fans of The Walking Dead know about The Whisperers during season 9? Here is a look behind the scenes of the AMC show to discuss the new threat.
The Walking Dead shocked viewers with the big reveal of The Whisperers in the first half of season 9 and now the final eight episodes of the season 9 set up what could be the most violent and heartbreaking situation yet.
Unlike dealing with previous adversaries, the survivors from Alexandria, The Hilltop, The Kingdom, and Oceanside won’t be face-to-face with their enemies. Instead, they will be looking in the eyes of what could be one of the massive hordes of undead wandering the Earth.
To get a better perspective on The Whisperers, AMC released a teaser video looking behind the scenes of the new threat on The Walking Dead. Here is their video as shared on YouTube:
Showrunner Angela Kang explains that The Whisperers have accepted that the word belongs to the walkers now and they are just attempting to survive in it. They have adapted their lifestyle to be able to coexist with the flesh-eating monsters instead of battling against them.
She added that how easily they were able to dispose of Jesus in the midseason finale should terrify fans even more considering how he was arguably the most formidable of the survivors in hand-to-hand combat.
Executive producer and special effects guru Greg Nicotero discussed how they coexist with the undead. Wearing the skin of the walkers to camouflage themselves seems to be quite effective but also massively disturbing and disgusting.
Danai Gurira, Ross Marquand, Denise Huth, and Josh McDermitt discussed the challenges the survivors have going up against The Whisperers and large groups of zombies at the same time plus the difficulty in opening any kind of dialogue with them.
