The Walking Dead has been nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award and the TWD Family can tune in to watch the ceremony either on television or online. The ceremony, which takes place live on Sunday, January 27, is a celebration of achievement in both television and motion pictures.
The Walking Dead has been nominated for Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Comedy or Drama Series. The competition includes Glow, Marvel’s Daredevil, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, and Westworld. Though the competition is fierce, The Walking Dead has a very good chance of taking home the award given the incredible work the stunt teams do in each episode.
Will & Grace star Megan Mullally hosts the big event, and one of the highlights of the night will no doubt be Tom Hanks honoring actor Alan Alda with the 55th SAG Lifetime Achievement Award.
Black Panther has been nominated for several awards, including Outstanding Performance By A Cast in a Motion Picture, so it’s very possible that The Walking Dead’s Danai Gurira will be in attendance.
Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga’s A Star is Born leads motion pictures with four nominations while The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Ozark both lead television shows with four nominations each. Sterling K. Brown has the most acting nominations, with three nods for his work in Black Panther and This Is Us.
