3) Learn how to swim.

Do you know how to swim? It’s a serious question. For a long time, I couldn’t. And, while it might not be the first thing you worry about in a zombie apocalypse, that’s the very reason why I mention it.

You see, while zombies are, obviously, the biggest threat you’ll have in a zombie apocalypse, if you’ve been paying attention over these last few weeks, you know that they’re not your only threat. There are all sorts of other things that have the ability to kill you, and one of them is water.

You never know what kind of dangerous situations may come up on you in the apocalypse, and as civilization (And, more importantly for our purposes, infrastructure) crumbles, it becomes increasingly likely that you could wind up in, while not hot water, a lot of water, and if you have no idea how to move in it, it can easily swallow you.

If you have a pool, have a friend or relative with a pool, or go to a gym with a pool, as frightening as it certainly can be, you would be smart to take the time to learn how to swim. As with all of these entries, it’s not something you immediately think about, but, trust me, if the time came where you needed to, you’d be thankful that you had this knowledge in your back pocket.
