6) Learn to make a fire.

Fire is one of mankind’s oldest inventions and revolutionized human development. Fire provides us with heat, light, and a means of making our food easier to digest; It is vital to human survival.

Yet, not many know how to make a fire on their own, without a lighter, or matches, or something else to actually start the fire. Right now, this isn’t necessarily a big problem, however, once the zombie apocalypse starts, this will become a huge problem.

You see, once civilization falls apart, we won’t have gas, or oil, or electricity flowing into our homes, and will find things suddenly much darker and colder than what we’re used to. People can’t live like this for too long, we need something to provide us with heat and light; We need fire.

But, if you don’t know how to make it, you’ll waste precious resources on something that you could do on your own.

How will you learn? Easy, ask someone who spends a lot of time in the wilderness, like a hunter or a camper, so that you can save using up your matches and lighter for times when you absolutely need to use them.

If cavemen could do it ten thousand years ago, you can do it in the zombie apocalypse.
