Fortnite: Save The World will be released in 2019 and features unmistakable voice talent from Telltale’s The Walking Dead video game.

While things haven’t been looking so good for the future of video games based on The Walking Dead universe, it’s hard to deny the massive impact that Fortnite has made on gamers all around the world.

One great thing about Fortnite is how content is constantly being released and much if it is available at no cost. The free-to-play model has paid off in a big way for the Epic Games property and soon a new game mode will be released.

Titled “Save The World”, the upcoming mode will be a cooperative game putting the team against deadly enemies called Husks and other survivors while they attempt to end the storm closing in.

According to Kotaku, one of the playable characters in “Save The World” is voiced by Dave Fennoy, known by fans of The Walking Dead for being Lee Everett in the first Telltale video game. He is joined by Ashley Burch (Aloy in Horizon Zero Dawn) as well as Tom Scharpling (Greg Universe in Steven Universe) as voice actors in the game mode.

Fennoy has a soothing yet powerful voice is something highly sought after by those creating animated features and video games. His voice should be familiar to many gamers since he has lent his talents to many great franchises including Metal Gear, Starcraft, Batman, Darksiders, Fallout, Final Fantasy, Star Wars, Scooby Doo, Transformers, and many more!

Right now, this mode was a bonus for early adopters of the series and remains locked for most gamers and can cost about $40 to unlock. However, Epic Games has stated that “Save The World” will go free-to-play on Fortnite eventually…even though no timeline has been released for that to happen.

It is also unknown if he calls anyone in the game “Sweet Pea”.
