The Kingdom was in rough shape in the first half of The Walking Dead season 9 but can the survivors turn the community around in the last 8 episodes.

The second half of The Walking Dead season 9 is about to kick off in less than 10 days and there is a lot for fans to be concerned and interested about considering the threats and developments introduced in the first eight episodes.

Many concerns highlight the return of the show, with the Whisperers, a divide between the communities, a dark history that needs some explanation, and leadership at the Hilltop up for grabs drawing a lot of attention.

One of the smaller storylines going in is at the Kingdom where many of the communities problems continue to get worse. Water, heat, and even crop growth is struggling in the area which inspired King Ezekiel to agree to send Henry to learn how to blacksmith from Earl at the Hilltop.

Of course, having Henry be a blacksmith isn’t going to solve all the problems at the Kingdom. They will need to make some adjustments without his help, hopefully making the area more self-sustainable while the Hilltop houses some of the survivors from the Kingdom.

Henry looks as though he will be could be stuck at the Hilltop for a while and King Ezekiel may be able to acquire some of the things he needs for the Kingdom at the Harvest Festival, but there is still a lot of work that needs to be done. Jerry, Nabila, Carol, and others can help make repairs and renovations, but even personnel seems light in the community.

This is an issue that will likely be pushed to the back burner considering the Whisperers are coming and the people will be mourning the loss of Jesus. However, the living conditions in the communities have to be something to keep in mind with everything else happening in season 9 of The Walking Dead and could make an impact on both the Harvest Festival and interactions with the Whisperers.
