How Dwight might meet the other characters in Fear The Walking Dead

Dwight is officially crossing over from The Walking Dead to Fear The Walking Dead, and it’s time to speculate just how he might come across Morgan and the rest of the group.

When we last saw Dwight in the season 8 finale of The Walking Dead , Daryl Dixon gave Dwight the keys to a truck and told him to never come back. It’s assumed that Dwight would have probably hit the road in search of his long lost wife Sherry, who took off on her own a while back. Now that we know that Dwight will appear in season 5 of Fear The Walking Dead, one might wonder if Dwight’s search for Sherry may have led him to Texas, where he will meet Morgan and the gang.

It’s possible that Dwight may or may not have found any sign of Sherry along his journey from Virginia to Texas, but that begs the question of if Dwight has changed in any way at all? Could something bad have happened to Dwight along the way that would make him a completely changed person when he encounters the characters from Fear The Walking Dead? If so, it’s going to be interesting to see when Dwight meets Morgan, if any mention of the war back in Virginia comes up in a conversation. While on-screen Dwight and Morgan never formally met, is it possible that they would recognize each other at all from there time spent in Virginia? If either Morgan or Dwight makes any mention of Negan or Rick etc, this could be a way that the two characters could form a bond of trust between each other.

In the season 4 finale of Fear The Walking Dead, Morgan and the group decided that they would form their own base, and help lost survivors find their way again along the way. Is it possible that one of these lost survivors that they come across in season 5 might be Dwight? That would certainly be an interesting way to introduce Dwight into the story of Fear The Walking Dead.
