At the Hilltop Luke looks around at all of the people in wonder that this is where he ended up. He finds Alden, Tara, DJ, Marco and Enid making plans to go find Michonne and Aaron. They’re going to send out a search party but Luke steps up and says he can help. He wants to do his part. Alden says Luke can ride with him and Luke is grateful. After a kiss from Enid, they saddle up.

Dog runs ahead as the group walks away from the scene. Magna and Yumiko can’t believe people would wear skin masks. Daryl says there has to be more, so they have to keep moving.

Once they reach the road, Michonne and Daryl walk together and she says that bringing back Jesus and burying him will mean a lot to the people of the Hilltop, and Daryl is sorry he couldn’t do that for her. She thanks him for trying to find him, and she thanks him for “after.”

Magna and Yumiko say they wish they’d known Jesus longer. Eugene apologizes and Aaron says it could have happened anyway. They know the risk. Dog picks up on the scent and they see walkers approaching. Eugene wants to know if they are “the living kind, or Original Recipe.” Daryl and Michonne box them in a covered bridge and realize that it’s a mixed crowd. Once they’re all dead they find a young girl who begs for her life. She says she’s alone and she’s terrified. Daryl says they’ll take her with them.

Negan is on his adventure through the woods. He basks in the sunlight with a smile on his face. He takes a break in a broken down car when a walker approaches, and he looks at it in annoyance. He tosses his bag away and kills the walker, but then one wakes up the back of a burned out car and grabs him, crawling along. He kills that one, too, and then he sees that his supplies were ruined.

He gets some water in a nearby stream, and then later he’s sick. (River water is a no-no. Check) He ends up back in the clearing where this whole adventure started. It’s empty now.
