Enid, Marco and Tara all work to build the coffin. Michonne and Daryl are there with the other members of the Hilltop community. Aaron’s eyes are full of emotion as he looks at Daryl.

Daryl goes down to the cell and asks who she is again. She’s terrified when he comes in after her. Henry wants to know what her problem is, and Daryl tells her that they just buried their friend and they’re ready to hang her. She admits there were ten of them. They wear skins to blend in but they don’t use names so she isn’t sure. The skins protected them. He asks about a camp, walls. Walls won’t keep you safe, she says. She and her mom watched the world fall apart. They were always going to kill Daryl and his people. Because that’s what people do. She doesn’t want Daryl to go find her mom. She begs for her life and he lets her go back into the cell. She shrinks into the corner. Henry yells for Daryl to stop, because she’s just a girl. Daryl tells Henry he should have stayed quiet and he’s going to keep him in there until he gets wise.

“Thank you,” the girl says. She’s talking to Henry and she thanks him for saving her. She says her name is Lydia.

Outside, Daryl listens to the two teens talking.

Negan rides down the road when Judith steps out and shoots him. He rolls across the ground and she says a lot of people are looking for him. She said there was nothing out there for him. She tells him to watch his language, but he likes to swear in front of his friends. He gives her the compass back and says she was right that there was nothing left. He’s going back to Alexandria, and he’ll figure out his next move. She lowers the gun and they walk away together.

On the fence Enid greets Magna as one of their group. She’s worried about Alden. Magna assures her that Luke is a survivor.

Luke and Alden have been collecting arrows, but then they realize that the walker in front of them has stopped moving. They’re surrounded by them. A walker walks up with an arrow and points the gun at him. “Trail ends here,” she says.
