Overall impression of TWD 909

First of all, the pacing of this episode was crazy. There were so many developments including two characters being abducted, others escaping, capturing a member of the Whisperers, Rosita’s pregnancy, Negan escaping his cell and going back, and much more!

The jail cells were the key to this episode. Henry being used to get information about Lydia is a smart move since they were likely to build trust with each other down there and she wasn’t looking to get out of there any time soon.

Negan was the focus though, showing him escaping his cell and realizing how much has changed and that everything he built over the years is gone. This inspired him to return to Alexandria and ask to go back in his cell…at least for the time being.

Add in saying farewell to Jesus and the relationship between Judith and Negan continuing to grow, and you had a fast-paced and interesting way to start the second half of season 9. As a whole, it was quite enjoyable and has me looking ahead to next week already.
