Magna’s group is outside the walls. Connie says that the tracks don’t make sense. Kelly agrees that the dead don’t do move like that. They’re in the woods and a walker attacks Kelly. They switch to sign language as other walkers approach. Connie and Yumiko say that it’s not safe enough for them to be out there alone so they should go back. Kelly is upset and says that she remembers being out there alone and it was Luke who saved her. Connie tells the others to go back and that she’ll stay with her sister. Little do they know, they’re being watched.

Henry returns to the cell to see Lydia. Daryl doesn’t know he’s there but he couldn’t wait to talk to her. He likes Lydia and thinks she’s a good person. He has the keys and he’s going to let her out to prove that they’re in a safe place. She agrees to go with him. They go outside and she looks around, keeping to the shadows. He trips on a rock so they sit down and wait until the coast clears. She digs around and finds a worm, and she eats it. She finds one for him and offers it to him, and eventually he eats it. “I just ate a worm,” he notes incredulously.

Henry points out the medical trailer when they go out in the open and she starts to get a good look at the community. She says her mom said places like that shouldn’t exist. She’s about to grab a hammer when she hears a baby crying and it sends her into a flashback.

Her mother shaving her head, saying the world’s over and she’s going to do what she wants. Her father singing to her. Her mother handing her a skin mask. Her mother telling her to put it on because the world has changed.

Henry asks what’s wrong and Lydia begs to go back into the cell. Daryl is there, hiding. Once she’s locked up again, Henry apologizes to her and starts to walk away. She tells him to stay with her for the night. She leans against the bars and Henry lies down beside her. He reaches for her hand.
