The good stuff from TWD 910

  1. “My second mom, I mean.” Hearing Henry talking about Carol as if she is his biological mother is refreshing. In a world filled with death and drama, he has really grabbed his new family and believes in them. Having a family doesn’t always mean they are biological.
  2. Taking charge. Tara may be new to being the leader at the Hilltop but taking control of a situation can be tough. But when faced with people not wanting to take her orders, she took a commanding position and used a voice of authority.
  3. Going to extremes. Alpha switches off and on. Her ability to go from a calm, nurturing parent to a cold, emotionless killer makes her even more dangerous than someone who can be relied on as a consistent threat. Being unpredictable is sometimes the scariest thing in the world.
  4. Not leaving Luke. Going against Tara’s wishes isn’t going to sit well with the Hilltop but it’s understandable why Yumiko, Connie, and Kelly wanted to go after Luke anyway. It says a lot for their loyalty to their group that they would be willing to risk their new home to go after him.
  5. Finally diving back into Daryl’s past. Ever since he grabbed a book on abuse nearly four seasons ago, it felt like Daryl was due for some character development. There was finally a little payoff for that during this episode and it made Daryl seem more human.
