Overall impression of TWD 910

On the surface, this episode seemed like one of those installments of the show that would be incredibly slow and be based on character development the whole time. While that was true to some extent, there were moments that made episode 910 feel surprising enough to balance out the more character-driven scenes.

Viewers learned a lot more about Henry, Daryl, and Magna’s group during this episode and seeing Tara step up and be a leader who bends but doesn’t break was a nice contrast to hearing how Alpha doesn’t live that way.

I was worried about seeing an Alpha backstory because I didn’t want the show to humanize her to give the character sympathy. However, the way her past with Lydia was revealed said more for how ruthless Samantha Morton’s character is while building a huge amount of sympathy for Lydia.

By the end of the episode, many of the loose ends were tied up and the focus was a face-off between the people at the Hilltop and the Whisperers who are sitting on the doorstep of the community insisting on the return of Lydia. That set up a lot of anticipation for next week’s episode considering it will be a challenge to hand the young lady back knowing everything that has happened to this point.

dark. Next. Full recap of TWD 910

As a whole, this was a good episode that set the stage for a big faceoff between the Hilltop and the Whisperers next week but doesn’t offer a ton in terms or re-watch value. However, there were several great performances from the cast during this episode of The Walking Dead to make it feel like an important part of the story.
