There were many great moments from season 9 episode 10 but which character did the most to earn the title of MVP during the Feb. 17 installment of the show?

The Walking Dead did something a little different with season 9 episode 10 by featuring a disturbing backstory for Alpha and the Whisperers told through the eyes of Lydia while imprisoned by the Hilltop.

While the episode was very enjoyable, there were some characters who went above and beyond to show developments in not only the plot going forward but their own characters during the Feb. 17 installment of the show.

One individual stood out the most to be called the Most Valuable Person from episode 910. After much deliberation, a decision was made!

The MVP from TWD 910 is Daryl Dixon

Although Henry did not like that Daryl and the others were listening in on his conversations with Lydia while they were locked up, the idea worked to perfection and not only allowed the Hilltop to learn about the Whisperers but also about Lydia and Henry.

Daryl didn’t interfere with Henry and Lydia’s developments but didn’t give them absolute freedom either. He was watching the entire time when Henry made a bold move to let Lydia out of her cell to show her that life can exist within walls and she didn’t have to live like monsters with the Whisperers. He was ready to act at a moment’s notice.

In addition, this was an episode where the tough Daryl showed a little more of his vulnerable side, opening up a bit of his history that had gone unmentioned since he picked up a book on childhood abuse he picked up in season 5.

This was a great episode of Norman Reedus, the man who plays Daryl, since it allowed him to flex a bit more of his acting chops rather than playing a Rambo-type character who is a cold-blooded killer.

Season 9 episode 10 was much better for Daryl being a part of it and the hope is that developments will continue to make him a more dynamic character going forward.

Other options for MVP during this episode include Henry and Lydia, both for making their own discoveries and bold moves as well as Tara for being a fair but firm leader for the Hilltop.
