With Alpha and the Whisperers at the Hilltop’s doorstep, we have 5 burning questions about this week’s all-new episode of The Walking Dead, “Bounty.”

Now that the first two episodes of The Walking Dead 9B have aired, the stage has been set for the newest villains to start their reign of terror. Daryl and the members of the Hilltop have a slight advantage thanks to their prisoner, Lydia, who gave them some insight into this new threat.

Heading into episode 911, “Bounty,” we have 5 burning questions about what’s to come.

What does Alpha want?

Lydia told Daryl that her mother would never come back for her, but Alpha showed up at the Hilltop’s front door looking for her daughter. While it might seem pretty straightforward that Alpha just wants her kid back, the reality is far less clear. Alpha seems to be someone who gets what she wants. Once she has her daughter, it’s not very likely that she’s going to turn around and walk away. She’s going to keep going until she eliminates the threat posed by the Hilltop, so it doesn’t really matter if they hand over Lydia or not.

Does Lydia really want to stay with Daryl and Henry at Hilltop?

When Lydia went back into her cell, willingly, it signaled that she has no plans to escape. If she escaped she could surely reunite with her mother at the Whisperers camp. But she didn’t want to leave. This suggests that she is fine with staying put. Either she’s doing it because she truly wants to steer clear from her mother, or she has seen this play out before and she knows her mother will kill everyone in her path, so she can just sit back and wait to be rescued without making it look like she wanted to get away from her mother.

Where is Michonne?

Michonne and her group left the Hilltop the day before Alpha arrived. Has she made it back to Alexandria yet, or will she run into trouble on the way back? Carol likely made it back to the Kingdom without any trouble because she left before the battle at the cemetery. Michonne, on the other hand, knows that the Whisperers are out there and will be taking extra precautions on her way home.

How will the Kingdom find out about the Whisperers?

Everything has happened quickly at Hilltop. They didn’t send out scouts to warn the Kingdom because there wasn’t enough time. So how will the Kingdom learn about this new threat? Will Michonne send someone to Carol to warn her?

Where are Negan and Judith, and what’s happening in Alexandria?

Negan and Judith were on the road at the end of the mid-season premiere. Judith said that there were a bunch of people out looking for the former leader of the Saviors. Judith managed to find Negan and she seemed to be by herself, but will this duo make it back to Alexandria or will they run into trouble?

Right now, the biggest issue in Alexandria is the missing prisoner. However, like the Kingdom they have no idea that the Whisperers are out there because Michonne hasn’t had time to make it back to warn anyone. Will she make it back to warn them, or will they be facing a surprise attack upon their return?
