3. What are you doing, Henry?

It’s one thing for Henry to feel compassionate toward someone who has had a hard life and was being interrogated in a jail cell next to him, but it’s another to gamble his safety and the safety of everyone at the Hilltop because of a bold move.

While others saw Lydia as a lying hostage from a dangerous group of survivors who wear the skin of dead humans, Henry didn’t see that. Instead, he saw a vulnerable and confused young woman who needed help in seeing that life doesn’t have to be the way she knew it for all these years.

One night after Henry’s sentence was done in his cell, he went back into the jail and opened Lydia’s cell, letting her outside to check out the Hilltop and see what she’s been missing out on by not trying to live a normal life.

Lydia had an opportunity to bash Henry on the head, but a crying baby reminded her of her life outside of civilization and asked to return to her cell where she believed she would be safe and sound for the time being.
