4. Mmm…yummy!
Sharing a meal is fun. In fact, some of the most romantic scenes in television and film history have involved couples eating. Some great examples are Lady and the Tramp, The Notebook, Pretty Woman, Pulp Fiction, and many, many more.
Sadly, the sharing of food between Lydia and Henry probably don’t have a lot of people watching The Walking Dead doe-eyed at the possibility of romance when Lydia dug her hand into the dirt to eat a worm out of the ground.
It was when she pulled a worm out and handed it to Henry that things got extra weird. The Hilltop has food…REAL FOOD…that they could share, but would he refuse the worm and possibly upset her or gobble it down in an act of good faith.
There is something to be said for this exchange that bodes well for Lydia’s future and even more so her future with Henry. However, the gesture itself probably won’t land on any lists of the most romantic TV moments of 2019.
