There will be conflict between Alpha and the Hilltop but what else is coming in “Bounty”? Our panelists share their predictions for the next episode of The Walking Dead

The next episode of The Walking Dead, “Bounty” looks like it’s going to be a tense one based on the sneak peeks and teasers that have been released throughout the week. Alpha wants Lydia back and is willing to not take action against the survivors for taking her if they give her back. But Daryl doesn’t want to Lydia back to Alpha.

Alpha ups the ante and reveals that she has Luke and Alden which means the Hilltop leadership is going to have to make a tough decision. Do they trade Lydia for Luke and Alden and broker a peaceful deal with Alpha? Or do they keep Lydia and possibly get Luke and Alden killed and kick off a war with Alpha and the Whisperers?

Fans of the comics probably already have some ideas about how this will play out but it’s worth noting that the show sometimes does deviate from the comics. The storyline from the comics may play out differently in the show.

Even though Daryl doesn’t want to give Lydia back to Alpha he may be forced to in order to save Luke and Alden. Will Alpha keep her word about not retaliating against the survivors if she gets Lydia back? She doesn’t seem like the most trustworthy person so she could attack even if she gets Lydia back. Here’s what our panelists predict is coming up in The Walking Dead episode 911 “Bounty”:

What Will Happen When Alpha Confronts Hilltop?

What do you think is coming in 911 “Bounty”?

Sonya says:

"I think that Daryl will refuse to give her back but Lydia will escape and try to rejoin her mother. Trauma bonds are real and her mother has kept her alive all this time and I think Lydia’s not ready to break free yet. But in refusing to give Lydia back the spark for war with Alpha has been lit and that decision will have some very bad consequences for the survivors. When Lydia goes back I think she will tell her mother about the Kingdom and that will lead to the Whisperers attacking the Kingdom."

Sara says:

"I don’t think that Alpha is happy at all that the Hilltop has Lydia. I’m nervous for how the trade is going to go, and I’m wondering what in the world is going on with the Whisperers having a baby in their group! Something is definitely very off there."

Jeffrey says:

"I’m expecting some great conversations between Daryl and Alpha that may parallel the hostage standoff between Rick and The Governor with Hershel and Michonne in Season 4. I’m really looking forward to seeing more of Alpha in the present timeline, especially in how she interacts with our main characters. I’m also hoping for some great material with Carol and the Kingdom, especially since we haven’t seen them at all in this second half yet. Hopefully they are finally made aware of the threat the Whisperers pose."

Sarabeth says:

"I think Alpha is about to flex her muscles and show what she’s capable of. I think the communities are going to be forced to rally together quickly, which means that Carol and Michonne need to be intercepted on the way back to the Kingdom and Alexandria, respectively, so that they’re aware of the threat."
